The commission in charge of creating a memorial for victims of the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack is looking for design ideas.Last winter a temporary memorial was set up at Veterans Park in honor of the victims of that attack. That was eventually taken down.Now the Parade Memorial Commission is working on a permanent memorial.The commission has settled on Grede Park as the location. “I think Grede Park is going to be amazing,” said Tamára Rosentreter, who was injured in the parade while performing with the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies. “There’s so much open space. We’re able to kind of structure it to formulate what we need in Waukesha.”But it’s still deciding on designs for the memorial and it’s asking for the public’s help.You can now submit proposals to the commission here.Proposals will be accepted until July 8. Waukesha will be holding its Memorial Day Parade along a new route this year.
